Estes Park Iron Communicators (EPIC) is a homeschool speech & debate club that meets on the first and third Friday evenings of the month, September through May. Communication is such an important skill to have throughout one's life and EPIC's goal is to teach students to be great and effective communicators. EPIC is a fun way for students to get high school speech credit in an encouraging environment. In addition to offering competitive speech & debate through the NCFCA Speech & Debate League, EPIC also works with students in the Young Chautauquan program and various community speaking opportunities, including "EPIC Expressions", an entertaining evening for the Estes Valley that has raised money for needy children in India. Although EPIC is geared to middle school & high school students, mature younger students are welcome.
