Dialectic Speech & Debate Club
"Dialectic" is defined by the Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary as:  "Discussion and reasoning by dialogue as a method of intellectual reasoning."
 
Purpose:  To enable students to push themselves academically and intellectually, helping them to use their gifts to the best of their ability and in a way that glorifies God.
Costs: $45 per student or $75 per family for Debate OR Speech
             $65 per student or $100 per family for BOTH Speech & Debate
Meeting Time:  Monday afternoons for approximately 1-1/2 hours during the school year.  At times this schedule will change to accommodate tournaments, practicums, round robins or other needs.
Debate will usually be on the 2nd & 4th week of each month and speech usually on the 1st & 3rd weeks.

Club Requirements:
  *  Become affiliates of the NCFCA upon joining the club.
  *  To participate in this club you must be a homeschooled student according to the NCFCA
     eligibility requirements listed at www.ncfca.org
  *  Students are expected to learn about and participate in club with speech and/or Lincoln-Douglas
     Values debate.
  *  To attend Training Minds Ministries Debate Camp over Labor Day weekend, and/or
    Communicators for Christ conference.
  *  Parental involvement is necessary and parents will be expected to help at the Colorado
     tournaments by actively enlisting judges, being prepared to judge and assisting in other ways
     whenever possible.
